In the black winter of 2010, I was in northern Afghanistan, close to the border of Pakistan. During a pause in the war, a CIA field agent offered me a drink of 15-year-old whiskey. It was sweet and cool and strong. Over a whiskey we planned the rest of the war, and wondered what our lives would hold for us when we returned home.

Alliances, empires and armies were built in the aftermath of such meetings.

May you survive, and find your own: War & Peace.

Our bold, rich storm of flavour.

In every corner of the world, people struggle to build a better planet. This whisky is our attempt to bottle the magic of that struggle while knocking.

War & Peace begins its journey with the Whipper Snapper Distillery in Perth, which handcrafts a deliciously powerful but exciting spirit. Next, it’s finished in a charred ex-scotch American oak single malt barrel for six months, transforming it into a mouth-watering, butt-kicking odyssey bursting with rich spiciness and sun-burned sweetness that will even launch Elon’s rockets to Mars!

It radiates with raisins, drops a mic in the form of honeycombs and slaps chocolate-covered hazelnuts lightened by cinnamon breezes. Each time you watch the sunset, you know you survived another day, be it War or Peace.

Tasting Notes...

Nose: Warm spices mingle with chocolate-covered raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee.

Palate: Sherry-flavoured sultanas, handfuls of bounty bars, citrus peels and peach segments, and generous dashes of butterscotch combine to create complex warm spices.

Finish: Long and satisfying, with spiced grapefruit, chocolate and toffee pennies.
